Summer Birthday Party – Sprinkle on the fun!

I always like to have  a theme for any party I am throwing or planning for a client.  My daughter’s birthday falls during the summer season and I’ve planned everything from a  lawn picnic, a carnival theme with live fire jugglers, BBQ’s, smore’s parties and a Harry Potter themed party for her. Whew – that’s a lot of parties!  This summer I am going to keep it simple but fun with a make your own ice cream sundae party.  I’ll set the mood with these cute Cute Sprinkle Postcards that are perfect for an ice cream sundae birthday party.

I already have a make your own ice cream ball – which is an easy and fun activity for the kids and makes them appreciate that making ice cream takes a bit of work!  If you don’t have one of these fabulous balls you can order one from LL Bean.  It only takes about 20 minutes to make a pint of ice cream!  Be sure you order enough of the balls to serve all the kids.  I’d estimate 3-4 servings per pint.

Next it will just be a matter of putting together a pretty table with of all the fixings along with sundae glasses, spoons and colorful napkins.  You can find lot’s of great options for all these items at Williams Sonoma, Bed Bath & Beyond and even Walmart!

Best of all this party is easy and only requires providing dessert.  Yum!
