Cheers! It’s Valentines Day!

Here’s a couple of French style drink recipes I garnered from my friends at A Spice of Life Catering.  The French are so romantic so why not try a  new romantic cocktail on Valentines Day.  Try one of these drinks below and you may want to consider serving them at your next party or event!

French 75

Ingredients

1 oz. gin or cognac

1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice

1/2 oz. simple syrup

2 oz. champagne

Lemon twist

Mix

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, shake gin or Cognac, lemon juice and syrup.  Strain into chilled flute or cocktail coupe.  Top with Champagne.  Garnish with lemon twist.

French Martini

Ingredients

1 1/2 oz. vodka

1/4 oz. Chambord raspberry liqueur

1/4 oz fresh pineapple juice

1 twist lemon peel

Mix

Pour all ingredients into a tall bar glass or shaker.  Add ice and shake, pour into a cocktail or martini glass, garnish with additional lemon peel or thin wedge and serve

And Finally, of course you can never go wrong with chocolate on Valentines Day!

Martini Chocolat-Framboise

1 oz. vodka

1 oz. chocolate liqueur (such as Godiva)

1/2 oz. heavy cream
