Carried Away at Catamount

Bride and Groom on BridgeOh what fun to plan a wedding with fellow New Yorkers.  Brooklynites to be exact.  Jake and Zalika were not the first couple from Brooklyn whose wedding I helped plan, but they were among the most creative!  From Zalika’s hand selected lace for her custom designed dress to the unique votive candle arrangements I helped design it was a true one of a kind wedding.  Those are my favorite!  I always strive to make each wedding unique and really reflect the personalities of the bride and groom.  I think we hit this one out of the park.  With extremely discerning tastes (I can SO relate) it was a challenge to bring the exacting style of music, food, decor and ambiance to the Catamount Lake House.  It’s amazing what well planned decor, tables, chairs and linens can bring to a dining room.  Zalika picked eggplant as her main color and wanted to accent it with ivory and silver.  Thanks to Brian Alpart for spinning the exact play list Jake had in mind.  The flowers were by Tall Tulips and were nothing short of stunning.  We ended the night by surprising the father of the groom with his favorite dessert when we rolled in a gelato bar.  He was ear to ear smiles along with the bride and groom!  Special thanks to Travis Broxton for the spectacular photos!  Look for this wedding which is featured in the Steamboat Springs Wedding Guide 2013!

High Style Eggplant Shoes are a great surprise that peek out under the dress!

The dress was custom made by a friend of the brides in New York City.  The two combed the garment district to find the perfect lace for the dress, which features an asymmetrical back.

A perfect August day in Steamboat at Lake Catamount.

Everyone said “I DO” to the Gelato Bar, when we brought out the extra surprise dessert for the Father of the Groom!

Surprise!
