When we started planning our Steamboat wedding all the way from California, we knew we’d need to find someone local who could help. The Main Event wasn’t the least expensive option, but after meeting with Jill we knew that we could really trust her to get the job done — and it was worth the extra $ to have that peace of mind. The things we most appreciated about working with Jill: she always over-delivered on the commitments she’d made to us in our contract, she was able to adjust her style/approach to our unique needs (and wedding style), and she made us feel like she was really excited to be working with us. She also knows the local vendor landscape well, which was really important for us since we could only be in town a couple of weekends for planning purposes and didn’t really have the ability to shop around. Oh, and maybe we should also mention: our wedding went off without a hitch (well, we think it did … if there was a hitch, she hid it/fixed it and we certainly didn’t notice … which was exactly what we wanted). We recommend the Main Event highly, especially for folks like us who are coming from out of town and have “big city” expectations for the kind of service they’ll get from a planner.
