This Tart is super easy and decadent! And if you make (or buy) the crust in advance, this recipe only takes a few minutes to prepare. Impress your family and friends, make it yourself! It does take a while to set up in the fridge, so make it the night before you need it!
Overnight Chocolate Berry Tart
1 Homemade or ready made frozen organic pie crust (Try Wholey Wholesome)
8 oz of semisweet chocolate chips
1 ¾ cup of heavy cream, divided
1 tablespoon of butter
Fresh berries, washed and patted dry
3 Tablespoons of sugar
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla
Bake the crust according to (package) directions.
Place the chocolate chips In a medium heat safe bowl, set aside
Pour ¾ of the heavy cream into a small saucepan, add the butter and bring to a high simmer – do not leave the pan unattended!
Once good, remove from heat and hot pour over the chocolate chips
Let stand 5 minutes
Whisk the mixture until smooth and pour into pie crust.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
The next day simply take out your pie, combine the remaining cream (1 cup) the sugar and vanilla in a medium bowl and beat with a hand blender until stiff peaks form.
Spread whipped cream evenly over the chocolate layer and top decoratively with the berries!
Everyone will be impressed!
Cheers!
