Cheer with Beer!

Cheer your wedding with beer!  With all the microbrews, home brews and amazing brewed infusions out there, why not have beer take center stage at your wedding bar instead of wine?  For Jake and Zalika’s wedding last summer here in Steamboat, we designed beer pairings to accompany each course with custom designed mini pilsners with the bride and grooms’ personal logo.  Guests enjoyed flavors selected by the bride who herself is in the brewing industry.  It was a lot of fun to pair the beers with the menu both for the couple and their guests, who took the glasses home as a keepsake memory of the day. 

Other ideas for serving beer at your wedding might include custom labels, a home brew served at cocktail hour, or an assortment of beers in large iced silver troughs.  You can get creative incorporating your theme as well.  For a beach or waterside wedding, fill up a kayak or canoe with ice and stash your brews to chill down there all night long.  For a meadow or mountain wedding try a cart, wheelbarrow or wagon.  

In the past, we’ve also designed custom beer cozies for guests to use and take home.  You may want to incorporate beers from your home town, the place you met or where you will be going on your honeymoon.  Finally, here at The Main Event we do lots of destination weddings so we like to include local brews so your guests can enjoy the local flavor!
