Carly & Austin
Carly and Austins’ wedding in Steamboat Springs was inspired by their love of Colorado with a touch of Alabama, their home state. We used navy and white, with touches of green and pink and accented it all with a compliment of burlap. We incorporated the navy linens with custom stamped burlap monogrammed runners for a rustic yet elegant feel. The centerpieces were simple arrangements of anemeomes, mums, and pink spray roses in vases that were tied with burlap table numbers. The tables were decorated with wood rounds cut by a good family friend and etched by the mother of the groom with their initials, hearts and the wedding date. Their outdoor ceremony was breathtaking, with sweeping views overlooking the Yampa Valley. The wedding arch was decorated with hydrangeas, and leafy ferns and the aisles were lined with small floral arrangements hung on shepherd hooks. For me, the best moment of the wedding day was when Austin was having trouble with his bow tie. The only one who could tie it was his bride. So I ran the tie over to Carly and with a little help from You Tube, she tied the knot! “Let Love Ring” was the theme for their send off and guests rang custom made wands hand tied by the bride with navy and burlap streamers and a tiny bell. Congratulations Carly and Austin and thanks for letting The Main Event be a part of your special day!
